The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices of education in California. SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County. SCOE provides technical assistance, curriculum and instructional support, staff development, financial advice, and oversight to Sacramento County school districts.
Salary and Benefits
Annual salary: $155,347.48
Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, life, vision, and TSA options
Benefit allowance: $868.27 per month for single coverage, $1,493.27 for two-party, or $1,643.27 for family coverage
Job Summary
The Coordinator, Human Resources plays a strategic leadership role in SCOE’s personnel operations, with a strong focus on credentialing, educator assignment monitoring, and coordination across districts and charter schools. This position ensures compliance with Education Code and credentialing requirements through the development and oversight of efficient, legally compliant processes. The Coordinator provides expert guidance to internal departments and local educational agencies, and serves as a key liaison on complex credentialing matters. Additional responsibilities include supporting Merit System administration, supervising human resources staff, and delivering training.
Qualifications
Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and five years of increasingly responsible human resources experience in public education, including staff supervision. Experience with educator credentialing, assignment monitoring, or Merit System operations is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of public education employment laws, credentialing requirements, and possess excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
